"The Leadership Program in Rogers County is one of the best programs available to county leaders.  I was able to meet many great community activists and I learned a lot about the programs that effect so many lives. With this group I was able to see how our district was addressing changes as well as preparing for the future of Rogers County Citizens.  I also learned a great deal about myself.  On ropes course day I was able to overcome one of my biggest fears, heights, by jumping off the "Pamper Pole."  Thank you to all the Leadership staff for keeping this great program alive and for touching many of our citizens lives. "

"My experience with Leadership Rogers County was much more than I anticipated.  Not only did I meet a great group of community leaders, but I learned an incredible amount of information about the community in which I live and work.  For example, we discussed challenges faced by our communities, how our communities are addressing these challenges, as well as the tremendous resources this county has to offer.
The LRC programs are well designed, carefully thought out and well managed.  The benefits received by participating in this organization far exceed any cost involved.  I would highly recommend LRC to anyone interested in learning about our county, developing leadership skills, and learning how we can give back to our communities."

"I had a great experience with Leadership Rogers County and highly recommend the program to current or future business leaders. You will see and feel a very positive learning atmosphere and be provided the opportunity to network with so many outstanding people. As a result of attending the program, I developed relationships at both a personal and business level that have continued for years. The program also provides you with an excellent opportunity to improve your knowledge of the county and the historical significance of many events that helped shape our county as it is today.  Like so many exceptional programs, most participants will only get out of it what they are willing to put into it. Attending each meeting and being involved with the group in all the activities will help you to maximize what you achieve. Again, I thoroughly enjoyed the program and feel that as a result I attained both personal and professional growth that have made a positive difference in my life."

"As a lifelong Rogers County citizen it was difficult to imagine that there was much left to understand about my home and the people I have been surrounded by all of my life but Leadership Rogers County drew open the curtains of a stage that I never fully realized existed.
Being exposed to the processes of communications and networking has augmented the smooth flow of business I now conduct as the Sheriff of Rogers County and has served to help me become a better citizen.  Through Leadership Rogers County I have been introduced to better ways of serving the people of Rogers County and, as a secondary result made the friendships of some truly wonderful people.
The networking potentials, through personal associations I made via Leadership Rogers County, are invaluable for not only myself but for the people of Rogers County;  they are personal and professional rewards that cannot be replicated or substituted.
Leadership Rogers County was a blessing.  Leadership Rogers County was an experience that I will forever be grateful for and will continue to use for the enduring benefit of the people of Rogers County."

Rogers County Sheriff

"I attended and I am a part of the 2003 Rogers County Leadership class. The experience broaden my knowledge of Rogers County and introduced me to a diverse group of Rogers County residents. Our group brought together a wide range of professions and personalities and we were  able to share experiences and knowledge and was made aware of things going on in our County that we would not have experienced or been made aware that these positive activities were happening, had we not assembled and worked with each other. I discovered, much to my dismay, that I am afraid  of heights.
The value we all received was the appreciation of this County and all it has to offer. We are all a part of something very special happening in Rogers County and should share that talent or knowledge that we possess throughout this great County. In addition to the Leadership program being insightful, it was a lot of good wholesome FUN."

"Leadership was an awesome experience for me.  I’ve been through several leadership training classes, but none can compare.  The knowledge that I have gained about the county and state has been invaluable to me. I have actively used the skills and resources I obtained and have put them to use in my community and the organizations I represent.  Information others have shared about their communities and the benefits of networking with my fellow classmates are invaluable.  I’ve also learned how important teamwork and support is needed for the success in any project we might undertake. Support and supporting others is something you will have throughout this program.

I know that to be successful at anything you must be willing to take some risks.  We must be willing to try something new, because the greatest adventure of your life might be down an untraveled path.  I learned that about myself early on in the program during the Ropes Challenge Course.  I never believed I had so much courage. I was successful only because of all the support and encouragement each of my classmates gave me that day.

Leadership Rogers County is a wonderful program that will definitely help you develop both personally and professionally and the benefits will last a lifetime."
